International students arrival plan approved
Recently, the South Australia international students arrival plan was firstly approved by the Federal Government. This program allows international students to return to Australia gradually. The key points includes:
• The plan does not affect Australians returning to Australia
• Isolation and flight-related expenses will be undertaken by both student and university
• SA premier announces the number of international students return to start from 160 students
• International students to quarantine at existing facilities at Parafield airport
The Premier of South Australia Steven Marshall said,
"International students not only bring the multiculturalism to South Australia, but also improve its economics. On average, three students will generate one job opportunity.
If this plan goes well, the earliest time that students can return to South Australia is September. This new plan still needs to be endorsed by the federal government.
