USQ Springfield and USQ Ipswich campuses are now categorised as regional areas!!

Institution News

We are delighted to share the recent announcement by the Australian Government that the Springfield (Postcode 4300) and Ipswich (Postcode 4305) regions have been reclassified as regional areas for the purposes of the Post-Study Work (PSW) visa.

The Post-Study Work (PSW) visa allows international students to travel, work or study in Australia after they graduate. Graduates are eligible to apply for a total of 3-6 years in Australia under the PSW stream. This provides greater personal and professional opportunities for USQ international students including:

  • Increased employment opportunities and work experience in Australia
  • Development of professional and personal networks with people from diverse backgrounds and industries
  • Further education
  • Travel in Australia.

USQ offers the advantage of studying in a regional area in close proximity to a metropolitan city. Our Springfield campus is located only a 35-minute drive from Brisbane CBD and our Ipswich campus is just 45 minutes away from Brisbane CBD.

Post-Study Work Visa duration:

  • Graduates from a bachelor degree (including honours): 2-4 years.
  • Graduates from a masters by research and masters by coursework: 3-5 yeas.
  • Graduates from a doctoral degree: 4-6 years.
