UTAS Bachelor of Pharmacy

UTAS is excited to announce that from 2023 their Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours will become the first and only fast track 3-year Bachelor of Pharmacy in Australia.

Through offering the program on a trimester model it will see students being able to graduate more quickly, save on living costs during studies and join the workforce while still studying the same amount of curriculum to give them the skills industry require. There is a growing demand for pharmacists in Australia, particularly in regional areas.

What you need to know:

· The new curriculum places a greater emphasis on contemporary pharmacy practices including clinical decision making, medicines safety, and public health and chronic disease.

· The program is seeking, but has not yet been granted, accreditation from the Australian Pharmacy Council and approval from the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

· Entry requirements have not changed for this program with the equivalent of an ATAR of 70 required along with subject pre-requisites in mathematics and chemistry. English requirements remain at the equivalent of IELTS Score 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0) with other tests accepted.

· The program will commence on 27 February 2023, Health Study Period 1.

With UTAS’s graduates already enjoying the highest medium starting salary of any undergraduate pharmacy degree in Australia* UTAS is confident that this change will only continue to see their graduates being highly regarded by industry.
