Course Description

Take the high path If you’re a high achiever and passionate about a career as a future leader of nursing, then the Bachelor of Nursing Advanced is the perfect opportunity to have your passion and hard work recognised. This four-year (full-time) course incorporates an advanced honours year as part of the program and offers an additional year of both clinical practice and research over and above the standard Bachelor of Nursing course. As part of your training, you will use the latest cutting-edge technology to simulate real-life situations and benefit from ground-breaking interactive and online practice methods. You will also undertake clinical placement experience across a broad range of healthcare service providers across all four years of your course, starting from your first semester onwards. In your final year, you’ll also undertake a research project and thesis related to an area of clinical interest with the full support and encouragement of academic mentors. This course can also be studied part-time and is fully accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). If you’d like to progress through to postgraduate studies, there are plenty of UC courses to choose from including the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing, Master of Nursing, Master of Nursing (Research).
