Scholarship Description
Each year the School of Archaeology and Anthropology (“the School”), within the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences, may offer up to four awards known as the Primate Conservation Travel Grant.
The objective of the award is to provide support for research, conference attendance or fieldwork in the field of Primatology. Funding for this award has been provided by the late Professor Colin Groves. One of the world's leading biological anthropologists and taxonomists who identified more than 50 species of animals during his career, Professor Groves spent more than 40 years at ANU. After receiving an award and honorarium from Conservation International for his work in primate conservation, he donated the honorarium, generously matched with a personal gift, to establish the endowment.
