Where possible, selection committee membership preference will be given to an ANU staff member that was also a student of the late Professor Colin Groves. The selection committee reserves the right to make no award if it considers there is no applicant of sufficient merit. The selection committee may also vary the number of awards and/or offer the award at other times in exceptional circumstances or based on the standard of applications or students (where funds allow). The parties collaborating in this program are:  The Australian National University (ANU) (a “host university”).  L’Université de la Nouvelle-Calédonie (UNC) (a “host university”).  Republique Francaise (the “French Government”). This program of exchange is undertaken under the Memorandum of Understanding entered into by the host universities in 2007 which provides at section (b) for qualified students to pursue short-term programs of study at each other’s institution.
